Impersonation Cosplay Costume - Greenmachines Show-off Thread for Mom

I have found that internet searches mistakenly add other people's pictures into my search results when I am showing someone my costume builds. Often, these searches will load up my worst possible picture of when I am only testing a theme or showing a single clothing item but won't show my final build pose or final pictures.
So, my grand idea? Put all my final pictures here. Put all of my likeness percentage pictures here. Put my links to all of my builds here.
So, please bear with me as I build out this landing page for all of my previous and future build final photos. I will continue to create dedicated threads for each build so fellow fans of that costume/show/character/book can see my process and progress how-to instructions as well as my failures. I am always open to sharing builds and experiences so feel free to load your questions, comments, advice and photos in the linked threads but let this thread run along as just my personal spot for showing off costumes to my mom....so I can give her just the one link and save it to her phone. Mods, if you have any tips on how to pull this off or if it isn't allowed, let me know.
Update: My guiding theme in all of my costume and disguise builds is to never alter or "correct" my photos using digital fixes. I have made the costumes, props and disguise/makeup/wig/fake facial hair/etcetera that are seen in the photos. In some, I have placed my photo over the top of a photo from the movie scene and have altered lighting to match the two photos but no touch up is done to myself nor my costume.
The full builds are intended as a costume cosplay AND an impersonation disguise of the actor that played the character.

Actor: Johnny Depp
Movie: Pirates of the Caribbean
One of my first, serious, costumes. Prior to 2019 (still trying to find the right dates)

In 2024, I went to FanX in Salt Lake City, Utah. I dressed as Will Turner on one day but then dressed as Johnny Depp on the next. I did not dress in my Jack Sparrow but only as Johnny Depp himself, in street clothes, as a disguise level costume. I had many comments from other cosplayers on my "Johnny Depp" cosplay so I counted it a success.

Actor: Luke Evans
Movie: The Hobbit
This costume had two distinct stages, the costume build (2019) and then, years later, the disguise build and bow with quiver and arrows (hand made)(2024).

Original completion of coat, shirt, gloves, pants and shoes (2019):
Years later, I completed the bow, quiver and arrows, re-stained the coat and shirt and completed the facial disguise portions of this costume:

I joined Stan Winston School of Character Arts in order to begin using facial prosthetics and true disguise level techniques with Qui-Gon as my first project. I doubt I will ever drop these amazing classes.
Qui-Gon was my first ever face cast, mold, and prosthetic (nose) and it wasn't perfect but made it possible.
I did NOT make my costume. I had won it, free, in an online game.
The hair was my own but the facial hair was mostly fake, glued in place.

This last one was using the "cartoon" feature but it just looked cool so I am adding it to the pile:
Actor: Christoph Sanders
TV Series: Tim Allen's 'Last Man Standing'
Kyle was a challenge given to me by complete strangers. I was at the front counter ordering pizza in a town near ours when the person in line in front of me walked away and the clerk looked up and froze. He just stared and then ran off to the kitchen and brought back the manager. They both just stared. My wife said, "So, who do you think he looks like?" The manager said, "Oh, so, you aren't him?" We laughed and said "Aren't who?". Kyle from Last Man Standing.
Two days later I stood in the line at the pharmacy. The person in front of me walked away and the clerk froze, staring, "Are you?". I said, "Am I who?". She said, "OK, so you aren't Kyle? From Last Man Standing?"
So, game on.

Actor: Leonardo DiCaprio
Movie: The Revenant (aka, the bear attack movie)
My family, the kids and wife, challenged me to do this one. I made all of the costume and props, even the walking stick.
My pictures were intended for green screen and overlaying onto movie scenes, so, I looked like the crazy neighbor posing on my porch. Some were in my photo/hobby room. I realized that I no longer have access to the porch originals due to a laptop battery failure so can only show my photo room pics as true originals. The remainder will all be overlays but, as usual, no photoshopping done to me, my costume nor any of my props. All real world costume, props and makeup.

And finally, the fun stuff. Me traveling WITH DiCaprio and some memes I made:
Actor: Orlando Bloom
Movie: Pirates of the Caribbean 5 - end of movie extra scene
This build was chosen by me after numerous times hearing people confuse Will Turner pictures and Jack Sparrow pictures. The two actors do look incredibly similar and since my first costume was Jack, It seemed fitting to do a serious go at a screen accurate Will Turner. This was one of the longest and most involved costumes that I have recreated. The clothing, the sword, the belts and buckles, even the boot covers were handmade. Only the boots themselves were purchased. The bandana is the only truly screen accurate one that I know of, handmade with a pattern stamp I designed. Final touch was the brown contact lenses.

And one fun one with the Lord of the Rings cast and my family at FanX:
Actor/Singer/Writer/Designer... it just keeps going: Adam Ant / Stuart Leslie Goddard
This build is more of a fandom than a single build and spans (and will continue to do so) decades of thematic designed outfits by one of our planets most prolific artists. Still touring the world and inspiring so many to just have fun in his now 70th year, he continues to push and test fringe design. I would say "in" this decade, our century, our generation and our lifetime but Adam Ant has already flaunted those titles and kept going.
Although, my hobby, of disguise level cosplay, usually includes only one costume per specific actor, I will continue to recreate Adam's work to the best of my ability for as long as I can. Working alongside several other highly resourceful and creative fans, we have forged through several builds and poses and I have at least one major build still in the works.

And my trip to the concert in Salem, Oregon. We waited until everyone in the line had made it inside. About 20 feet from the door, the requests for photos turned into a crowd.
After completing The Kid Rock build, I had sent a picture of the finished hat to my friend. His response, "Cool, you're doing a Richard Petty costume." I started looking into it and found that not only did Kid purchase hats from the same artist but may well have owned some of Richard's famous hats. The same friend is from a race family and was now not going to let it drop that this costume had to be done. For that, I am incredibly greatful as it is now one of my favorites. I did a wide range of ages from Richard's first race decade to his team ownership years, all with the help of Stan Winston school's classes on facial aging. It was a lot of fun. I hand-made the firesuit undergarments and then applied the patches to a mechanics jumpsuit. I would put my final age range to about a 40 year span.

This costume sprang from a sick day. A really, truly miserable sick day when I wandered into the bathroom, looked into the mirror and saw Ron Swanson, miserable and sick (it is a pretty famous episode of Parks and Rec) staring back at me. I popped a picture, sent it to a buddy, with no text added, and waited for the reply....... "Cool, Ron Swanson, are you done with this costume or just starting?" That was nearly two years ago and I had forgotten to do the build. In my defense, I was ill at the time. So, last month, July of 2025, I finally took on the challenge after seeing this internet meme. It literally is a challenge, built into a meme about Ron. So here is my finished response to that challenge and a bunch of other poses that I did after completing the facial effects (not easy):

And finally, a meme I made from one of my grumpier shots for when someone texts me something boring:
This build is directed at the 2025 Billy Ray and not expected to appear like the Hanna years Billy. The hair is mine but then bleached on the ends. The facial hair is mostly faux hair, glued in place. Some of the jewelry was found items but several were 3d printed and painted. The guitar has a printed overlay taped to it.

And one meme I made from a pose that included the guitar build:
Actor: Robert Shaw
Movie: Jaws
This build is a bittersweet one. I had noticed the likeness when I was working on a few of my bearded characters but had always known that Shaw looked like numerous uncles on my Dad's side of the family. Dad's generation was the muttonchops just like shaw, so, most of my childhood family pictures has at least one Shaw, if not two or more, in the background (Dad had 7 brothers). Most of my disguise builds include me prepping, months in advance, to look as much like the character before needing any prosthetics. It is a huge inspiration to continue when you can wake up looking like the target and it makes the final pose day much easier. When I was nearing the last weeks of this build, I was floored to realize I had successfully disguised myself as my late father. It was not a fun day. But the final poses needed the faux hair and some facial tweaks so I was happy to close in on being more Quint as quickly as possible before yet another person mentioned how much I looked like Dad.
I still need to find a good pose boat but here is me having fun at our local store:

Which reminds me, here are the links to the build threads (how to and process). This first one has my full "Quint at Career day" story at the very beginning, to which, I have cracked myself up, many times, reading it, aloud, in Quint's voice:

Then I really got interested and zoomed out to this:
So this turned into a huge endeavor. I created the pitcher and cup from scanning online pictures and cleaned them up, printed and painted. I purchased many platters at thrift. Modified a chair I owned, added 3d printed upper decor. I hung wall clothes to simulate his castle's dining hall and drew lines on for stone. I recovered a dining table with stone print shelf liner. I sculpted the ring on my computer, printed and painted it (and sized). I added beads to a turtle neck shirt, added a long nightgown and then went through a huge project and 3 separate blankets to cut and sew his outer robe from a pattern I made. I hand sketched the large white pillar plinth and cut it out of cardboard (right side of the photo below). I conversed with the rpf group to come up with our guess of what was on each platter and I went grocery shopping.
First is our glory shot of the tomato. The scene that has inspired so many to cringe even at the mention of it. Like sitting next to "that guy" at a restaurant and realizing that murder just might be in the cards today if he continues to eat so poorly and loudly. If you have never seen it, you have done yourself a great service.
The usual response to the scene is cursing and a permanent dislike for cherry tomatoes. The question asked by tomato lovers is, "Who bites only half of a cherry tomato?". Most, who have seen and loved the movie, will say, "I was really OK when the Orcs were eating other Orcs but the cherry tomato scene.... I just... uh... why?"
continued in next post...
These next were me attempting to get a better angle to look the most like John Noble. In pure profile my nose was noticeably different but if I angled enough it hid the difference more.
These are me just being absurd with the tomato. I attempted video but was nowhere near enough light for such an attempt. If I can modify the footage I did get, I will upload later.

I am working on my side by side, splitface and facial comparison percentages and will post when complete. For now, here is my meme, playing on Denethor's other major habit, insulting anyone who is NOT his favorite son, Boromir:
