*** Monster Making Contest 2023 Winner Announcement ***

Thank you to all the talented artists who participated in our 2023 Monster Making Contest. Your submissions showcased an incredible array of creativity and artistry. Selecting just one winner was extremely tough, but after careful consideration and tallying the votes, we are thrilled to announce our Grand Prize recipient. Join us in celebrating Khoi Tran, "DABBOY," for his exceptional work on his fan-made Hydralisk costume! Congratulations, Khoi!

Here are the materials and techniques Khoi used to bring this monstrous creation to life:
"I used EVA foam for the body and tail. Painted with Smooth-on silicon pigment and Dragon skin paint for a slimy look. I also used wet paper towel for textures. The head is a mix of cardboard, paper mache, acrylic paint and coated with Smooth-on resin. The claws in the arm are manually controlled by the wearer's hands. The tail is articulated for snake-like movement. The jaw can open and close via an Arduino-controlled servo."

Grand Prize sponsored by our great friends at Smooth-On.
