Contest entry: The Hydralisk
This is my fan-made Hydralisk costume from the Starcraft 2 universe. All creative rights belong to Blizzard Entertainment.
I used EVA foam for the body and tail. Painted with Smooth-on silicon pigment and Dragon skin paint for a slimy look. Also used wet paper towel for textures. The head is a mix of cardboard, paper mache, acrylic paint and coated with Smooth-on resin. The claws in the arm are manually controlled by the wearer's hands. Tail is articulated for snake-like movement. The jaw can open and close via an arduino-controlled servo.
