That looks like just the sort of thing that I was after but their proprietor controller is so expensive especially when compared to a raspberry pi... do you know of any software that might be suitable for the rasp pi?
VSA runs on a computer and uses a separate controller board to interact with servos. That article shows how to use an arduino as a servo controller. You still need a computer to run VSA. If VSA would run on Linux, it might be possible to have it run on a Raspberry Pi, but as far as I know it only works with Windows. You'd probably be best of using a cheap laptop. Just remember that you need to purchase the software if you want to be able to save your sequences.
