Small stone negative on a full face lifecast?

Hey y'all, I'm looking for some second opinions before I make a mistake. I have a small forehead piece sculpted and ready to be molded and I'm trying to think of a way I can do the stone without having to cover the whole face. It's such a small piece it seems like a total waste of time and materials to not try to isolate the sculpture somehow.
I'm thinking of building a WED clay wall around the forehead and then going about business as usual with the stone but only within the confines of the clay. I feel like this can work but I'm worried about the mold being hard to stabilize when I go in with the foam latex and have to get a mold strap on it. Thoughts?

In order to do this, you'll need to create a "snap mold" of the forehead piece.
You'll find some info on snap molds here in a Free Chapter from Bruce Spaulding Fuller's prosthetic makeup course:

For additional info on the "snap mold" process, as well as much, much more, check out Fuller's two-part prosthetic molding course here:

Hope that helps!Matt
