Angler Fish
My first halloween contest submission!
This is a deep sea Humpback Angler Fish that my collaborator and I worked on for a performance installation at the Royal Ontario Museum ROM After Dark! The concept was two divers got lost in the deep sea and consumed by the Angler fish. One of the the bigger sculpts and projects I've worked on! I sculpted the head in clay and then finished the form in Worbla. Use christmas bulbs for the eyes and then rigged an led light on the head for fish's esca! We also made a tail structure with foam and some reed. The heads opened and the divers performed several vignettes from the inside of the fish. There was a helmet that the form was rigged on.
