Foxy from Five Nights at Freddys
My (now 10 year old) daughter asked me for this costume last year after the film came out. We tried to get an early jump on it this summer but life came up so we only just barely got it "finished" in time for the last hour of trick or treating on Halloween.
There is still more to do for the future, like add the whisker spots, add more weathering, among other things
I 3d modeled the parts to fit her size in Blender. I then printed the parts on my Ender 5 plus using PLA+. With my wife's help we dyed fabric and wrapped the parts. We were able to at least light up the eye and add a Bluetooth speaker so she had sounds. We hope to fully animate the eye at some point.
The back panel on the body and the one at the back of the neck both attach with neodymium magnets. We installed a suspender to distribute weight over the shoulders. The cod piece is held up separately by use of a belt that we fabricated. The head has a spring loaded, articulating jaw that can open when she opens her mouth. There is a hardhat liner installed that ratchets tightly to her head. The ears, eyebrows, eyes, and eyelids are all designed to move but we ran out of time to add the servos and controls for those elements for Halloween.
Tonight we were able to stitch together a short video.
Thanks for the consideration and enjoy 🙂
