Is water based clay appropriate for a mold wall on a WED sculpture?

Hi. I’ve been using WED for the first time after watching Tim’s How to Make a Latex Mask tutorial. He refers to white clay for the mold wall. Is that regular water based ceramic clay or another type of clay? Thanks!

Is this the type that is easily remoldable and doesn't dry?

It will dry out over time, but if you keep it moist it will last a long time.
