I'm with @Judah on this, that looks deceptively real. I looked around to find anything as a legit clue and finally saw the cut edge on the inside of the ear, in just one of the pics, and I was intentionally looking. That is a handsome prop for sure.
Thank you. I figured the fact that it's only a head and part of the chest was a giveaway, or that there is a real grey cat pictured next to it might help. I might have to take it as a compliment that it looks deceptively like an actual cat. There's a goat head I made in my first year at Uni still hung in the costume department, it freaks out so many people. The day I brought it in, I had people avoiding me whilst I walked across campus, with this goat head tucked under my arm. I look at it now and see so many flaws, because I wasn't aiming for ultra realistic then, and it was rushed. I will get a picture when I am on campus on Friday.

Are you able to work on the project I emailed you about? I'd really like to work with your expert craftmanship. You sent me some message with a picture showing previous costume work and then just stopped responding? I think you'll be able to do it.
Wow! That is incredibly lifelike! That quality almost matches that of The Jim Henson Studio? Really sells, the suspension of disbelief is there I'll tell ya, if they were to do a sequel today for Jim Henson's The Christmas Toy (1986), you'd be hired on the spot. Good job! 👏👍

Unfortunately I was in a bit of a nasty car accident, kind of screwed up my whole summer plans.

Thank you so much Honestly, that would be a dream come true 👍

You are welcome. And...maybe it will happen one day sooner than you think? You just have to believe it and keep working at your dream without giving up. I hope your dreams do come true one day. We all have them you know, some don't know them to get started on them and that's probably why they die within them. We must keep that spark lit bright.

I really needed that this morning. Thank you. I am moving studio spaces, today is my last day in my old studio, been here 6 years, and it feels so horrible letting go, but my new studio is really good, and there's puppet makers and props guys either side of my new space, so that should really give me a boost to be around other creatives.
