Moulding Advice please
Hey everyone just wanting some advice this is my first attempt at moulding and using latex. I have sculpted my Grishnákh monster mask with monster clay and was just wanting to make sure how much supplies amounts i will need to mould and then make 2 latex masks of this sculpt? Re: Alternative to dental acrylic?
I'd strongly recommend using only dental-grade materials. Epoxy resins can crack or release chemicals, so stick with dental acrylic for safety. -
muscle suit casting
Hello everyone! I have 3D print files for a full body male muscle suit, based off of the batfleck designs. Re: Workbench for model making
My main advice is to plan around your work style. Find a bench that is high enough that you can work at it comfortably while standing, without having to bend over too much, as that can be hard on your back and neck. And then find a good tall chair that lets you work at the same bench while sitting. /Chris -

That's a great idea!!! Maybe I can buy a piece of fabric and dip it into dragon skin as a base, then sew it on the shoulder brace and then sculpt directly with dragon skin on top on the silicon part! I will surely share the work in progress with you!! Thanks a lot for the precious advices -

Oh hey, that's awesome, great to know (especially the boogery bit)! One of the other crew members was working with some cheap Amazon two-part silicone to make a newt from a printed mold. He used mica powder to tint it and it came out pretty well in the end (despite the crumby Amazon quality). -

Thank you Sasha, I only built the armature with with wire like in the course, I didn’t contemplate the weight being different from Monster Clay’s so I’ll redo the armature and start over, thank you! -
Re: Dental Acrylic for eyes
I’ve done eyes with dental acrylic. They look good!! I’ve also used silicone for medical training. Silicone closely resembles a human eye in flexibility and feel. For medical training I fill it with glycerine. You can even apply the veins with yarn. -
