I believe the acrylic is supposed to adhere directly to the vacuum-formed plastic. If you have trouble with it sticking, you could try using coarse-grit sandpaper to scuff up the surface where your acrylic will adhere to help give it something to grip onto. /Chris -

I've used similar stencils a lot on past projects, and really enjoyed them. You just have to be careful that the patterns don't become too obvious or repetitive. I've not used them when painting silicone yet, but I'm sure they would do the trick! /Chris -
Re: Dental Acrylic for eyes
You can absolutely try other recipes for this. Dental acrylic is a good option as it is easy to color, polishes nicely, does not shrink much as it cures, and is durable. Feel free to experiment with whatever casting materials you have access to. /Chris
