HELLRAISER inspired costume, full body suit

Hi my name is Kerstin, I'm a horror and sfx enthusiast from Austria. This is my Hellraiser inspired costume for this year's Halloween πŸŽƒΒ
We could snap some awesome pictures in a local church, which held their "Night of 1000 candles" celebration and didn't kick me out 🫢🏻 I asked at the entrance if it's ok tho, and people inside were either curious and appreciative, or appeared not to be bothered.

I sculpted the mask on a lifecast of myself, made a fibreglass mould and cast it using Ecoflex 20, reinforced with a power mesh hood. I airbrushed and hand painted it using Silc pig pigments. The suit I made using a morph suit as base, on which I layered threads and cotton with Ecoflex. It is quite heavy, 7 kilos of costume. And while it is a fight to get my arms and legs in (baby powder in the suit, conditioner as lube for the mask ), I am ready to rumble in about 20 minutes, contact lenses included. I love horror movies, I love creating stuff, and I'm genuinely happy when I can wear my costumes once a year. Happy belated Halloween everyone!Β

Standing there sipping a beverage, looking scary and making everyone uncomfortable..... a success.

Fun times, especially in Austria. We don't have huge Halloween celebrations, and people don't really dress up for the occasion. I gotta lead by exampleΒ

That puts this in an entirely different world. You aren't just introducing a really scary costume but doing it without being surrounded by streets full of other costumes. It is almost better that it was so extreme versus "Rambo" and everyone thinks you might be violent or one of many other costumes where someone thinks you are just a mental patient.

So funny but scary as anything I've seen. So wish to have seen reactions on faces.Β

    Thanks for the kind words!
People were mostly intrigued, I think?Β
I got a few formal handshakes, which was super funny. "Great costume 🀝 ". People didn't really know what to do πŸ˜‚ but at least they were being very respectful.Β
