Work in progress Sculpture - Stage Two (2026)

Here's a very quick update, as you can see, I haven't got much done since my last video. As you can see, I've made the wings. There's still much to do on here, though.

Materials used: PVA/Wood Glue, Apoxie Sculpt, Vellum/Tracing paper.

Next, I'll be working on the skin, hair and fur.

    Best wishes and stay awesome!

  • I am working on a dual cosplay of Josh Brolin. One is his Moss from "No country for old men", mostly prop and real world found costume collection until day of photos and then it will incorporate much of the anti-aging make-up processes and faux hair in the moustache. The other is his, current production, Gurney Halleck which requires an entire costume build and the new introduction of the Fremen Heavy Armor. I haven't yet seen anyone tackle this new armor. The still suits were worldwide with many amazing builds but, so far, no full armored Gurney's that I have seen. I have quite a bit of sanding yet to do but I did build and utilize a 24x24 vacuform to get the neck guard and have completed the majority of the foam armor build, the strapping, the massive staples.... sanding, did I mention sanding.... yes, much sanding left to do:

Oh, and I finalized a pattern for the boot covers which everyone avoids by just wrapping the leg in extra cloth. The boot covers were actually quite an intense sewing and manufacturing project, with multiple catches and three separate layers.

I will start a full Gurney build thread and will include the finished poses in my show off thread I built for my mom. Should be within the month.  https://forums.stanwinstonschool.com/discussion/12343/impersonation-cosplay-costume-greenmachines-show-off-thread-for-mom
  • Hi everyone!

    So here's my third update:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgRBiAatvCY

So, I've added veins to the hands and forearms, short and long fur to the legs, re-made the top half of the head, including the eyes, and lastly I've added rags. It may look a bit funny at the moment, but there's still lots more to do on it. So I do hope it'll look better soon.

    Best wishes and stay awesome!

  • Hey everyone,

    This is my fourth update:

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=adAHVIr7wY0

Since my last video, I've added hair on his head and still working on the rags that hang off of him. It may not be much but it's taken ages and a lot of trial and error. So, what I'll be working on next is refining more of the body and the clothes, giving him more fur, work on his tail, and then the base.

    Best wishes and stay awesome!

  • Hi everyone,

I thought I'd share photos from my phone as well, so you can see it up close up, flaws and all!! It's still very much work in progress though so it will be more refined. I also hope it will look better then what you see here.

    Best wishes and stay awesome!

  • HiHi all, I've just finished this monster. It stands 2.2m tall and 3 m across. 3D printed with epoxy and automotive clear. I used an AI program to create new files for the jaws and teeth. Took about 4 months to build and is heading off to its new home shortly.

  • I give. How do I embed my youtube video on here?
    Thanks for any help ;-)
  • To embed a video, paste the URL to the video and don't manually convert it to a link.  It should get converted when posted.  I just edited your post and made it an embed.  Sometimes, if the URL has too many other parameters, it will not want to embed.

    /Chris
  • Thanks Chris. Soooo I just copy & paste the link, & then don't hit enter at the end of the link to make it live, and it will convert?

  • Hello,

Here are some pictures of a work in progress for a stop motion armature for a werewolf puppet.  He will debut in a short film I’m directing, writing and animating next year!  Writing the script now!  I hope you like it!
