This will end up being a full costume once done. I've still got a long way to go, but here is where I'm at currently.

I went to take pics with the nice camera and the battery died. So...here is one w/ my phone for now.

Critiques/Comments welcome.

Pretty cool. I like the details around the eyes. Is there something emerging from the top of his head?

Thanks! Yeah, those are spikes, made from feather quills. I may or may not put a skin membrane between them. Haven't figured that out yet.

@Daniel, They are supposed to be a sort of scale. I got the inspiration for those from various sculptures that I saw around were people would put scales on shoulders and such of sea creatures. There were two artists on DA that specifically inspired me to do it, and I thought I favorited their work, but upon inspection I didn't, If I come across them again, I'll let you know!

Hi Mike,

This is a really cool hybrid design. Is there a back story to this creature? Also is the color going to stay fleshy or are you planning on painting it in Gigerish hue?

There wasn't a back story when I started, no. I've since envisioned him as an accountant type in Innsmouth.

Once complete, he'll be painted in a Giger fashion.
