Godzilla 2000, from Godzilla Vs Megaguirus

Hello! this is my submission for the 2025 Halloween costume contest, my submission is Godzilla 2000, from Godzilla vs Megaguirus, the film suit was originally sculpted by Shinichi Wakasa, i tried my best to stay as faithful to the original design as possible, as he was my first introduction to Godzilla, through Godzilla vs Megaguirus, which became a life long obsession, after a few attempts i finally decided to try and replicate this iteration as best i could, after two years of work, hes finally show worthy, this would be his first competition!Godzilla (or GiraGoji as fans call this iteration its based on) is 6 feet five inches tall, he is about 15 feet long, head to tail, the head was sculpted in Chivant NSP clay, molded in Ultracal 30, and casted in Monster Makers mask making liquid latex, the body is sculpted in cushion foam and coated in multiple layers of latex. No 3D printing, NO AI ASSISTANCE! all created by hand, head was sculpted by me as well as the hands, the head is held up by a helmet and shoulder pieces made out of liquid plastic and aluminum, teeth, claws, and eyes made from Smooth-cast 300 and clear cast epoxy, this is my first completed costume of this stature, attempted many times to make a kaiju suit, but never really felt like i get it right until now. This is his first competition since completion, so hopefully he atleast inspires people to go and make their own costumes, its tough but fun, if i can spread that fun, then its worth it.
although i did the work entirely myself, im gonna credit a few people, as they were instrumental in guiding me through the process, Sean Sumagaysay of Project Nautilus Cosplay and his Godzilla 2002 suit, Liam Newby (SharkBoi.MP4 on instagram), Billy Dubose and his Godzilla costume, and so many others, id be here all day if i had to mention them all, win or lose im happy to share this and them because i wouldn’t be here without them. Below ill link my Instagram so you can see more progress of the suit, and my YouTube channel for videos about him and some of my other projects, thank you for your consideration!
