NEBULA. A Monster from The Colour Out of Space
A color no human was ever meant to see fell from the sky onto an abandoned corpse deep in the woods.
That thing slowly fused and deformed the dead matter of the body with the surrounding vegetation, and from that strange color, Nebula was born! A creature that spreads the cosmic infection from the shadows.
Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s tale The Colour Out of Space, the piece is designed to blend natural elements with the human body protrusions, teeth, plants, and an unnatural hue, all staying true to the story.
The ribcage is based on the iconic scene from John Carpenter’s The Thing, specifically the chest with teeth from the Norris creature.
Multiple layers of makeup, airbrushing, and special inks bring this entity to life.
