Crepe Wool Question

Can crepe wool be used to punch an entire silicone head?  Crepe is easier to get in my area and I was curious if it can be used and what the results may be.  Too thin maybe?

    You can punch with crepe wool, though as you mentioned it is quite fine, so it would work for situations that call for very fine hair.
