My Right Hand of Doom

edited April 2020 in Puppets
Hey Guys! As you already know, I'm working on a Hellboy Cosplay. Here, I'm just going to talk about my right Hand of Doom. I could just make it a big and bulky glove, but where's the fun in that? The hand section of it is going to have puppeteer-able fingers.
Here, I've sculpted the hand itself in clay over the core.Ive attached Tubing that isn't cut to the hand plate, which I have no problem with getting damaged in the mold-making process. The exposed screws are where the core will anchor to the inside the fiberglass mold. I sculpted the hand using everything from a Swiss army knife to a ball-point pen, and even the most surprising tool; a piece of rock, to give it a stone texture. I've now made the mod walls, (which I'll show a picture of later). when I'm ready, I'll cast the negative mold in fiberglass, into which, I'll injection cast the skin for the hand in silicone.

The forearm section of the hand will be made of EVA Foam.
