Alien Sculpt baking Time/temperature and tips

Hi, My name is Hannah and I’m 16 and only new to sculpting. I’ve just completed my Alien by Casey Love and I can’t find any baking instructions. I’m really scared to ruin my work, so would love advice on how to do this please? I have included some pictures of my work. It’s my first attempt.

    Hi Hannah,

    Your sculpt looks fantastic, congrats!

    For baking Sculpey it is recommended to preheat your oven to 275 degrees F (135 C), and then back for 15 minutes per quarter inch of thickness. For example, a piece of 1/2" thickness should be baked for 30 minutes.  That is a general guideline, but your times may vary as you likely have both thick and thin areas on your sculpture, so you will have to do your best to guess and average thickness as a starting point.  

    Anyone out there have a lot of experience with Sculpey and want to share your experience/tips?
