Contest submission : Hana Kamikiri

Tokugawa period  1705 in the Japanese hexapod society is under the rule of the Tokugawa Dynastinae shogunate and the country's 300 regional Lepidopter daimyō. The period is characterized by economic growth, strict social order a popular enjoyment of arts and culture and a lot of corruption and secrets.
Hana Kamikiri is an Oiran, a type of yūjo "woman of pleasure". However, she's distinguished herself from ordinary yūjo in her set of skills as entertainer, dancer, poet and artist. She's a celebrity even outside the pleasure districts.  She is a Kunoichi, a female ninja. A delicate flower as a ruthless killer.
She is a Pseudocreobotra wahlbergi, a spiki flower mantis breed, a rare species in this old world. And her last client was also the chosen target of her clan, "kagentsu" the crescent moon.

    A couple of pictures of my lovely /deadly mantis character after a quick paint job. 
    I didn't have enough time to paint her properly but I will do it soon and I will put the final result here.
