Curiosity

This was created as a material / texture experiment of sorts and it grew into a character I've named "Curiosity"!

The original bird skull was built using wire and paper mache, then molded and cast in urethane plastic. The cowl is comprised of deconstructed faux tulips, sewn and glued as needed. The remainder of the body is fabric, faux fur (to represent moss) and faux plants.

I learned so much in the process of creating this character. I'm glad I got the chance to play around with all these elements!
