Entry Level Position at a Medical Simulation Company

Hey friends, the company I work for is expanding and a position working along side me in our FX shop has opened up. This is ideally an entry level position so limited experience is is fine. It's a cool gig, using industry techniques to design medical training products for first responders, military, medical professionals and civilians. 

Full Job Description:

Humimic Medical is a distributor of medical grade gel products for simulations, medical devices and an endless of variety of applications. We are seeking the right person to join our team as an FX Artist, primarily fabricating existing products and helping develop new ones, via sculpting, mold making, etc. in the Upstate area of Greenville, SC.

Your primary duty will be required to work with many different materials, styles, and finishes. They must work with several different techniques including, sculpting, casting, and molding. Higher education in the arts preferred but not required if a strong portfolio can be presented. Ability to interpret 2D renderings and create a 3D model to scale Sculpt realistic. Must have some knowledge of 3D printing. On larger productions they could be tasked with making a wide variety of props. Cast objects using different materials selected for their intended use. Have strong artistic eye and be detail oriented. You must be a good communicator, highly organized and understand the importance of being a part of a team. You must have the ability to “think outside the box" to address issues, and solve problems in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Knowledge and understanding of:
Life Casting
Running and working with Foam Latex Appliances
Running and working with Silicon Appliances
Sculpting and molding
Application and Removal process of all Prosthetic Appliances
Out of kit makeup (i.e. cuts, wounds, bruises, etc.)
Comprehension of proper SFX terminology
Certificate or Degree in Makeup Artistry or Special Effects (preferred but not required)
