Lip and Eye Cupping

I know in the molding process of the silicone mask making tutorial..they "glazed" over the cupping process..is there anything by way of the actual SCULPTING process that can be said for how to make this feature work well...my reaoning is to have a THIN..almost paper thin layer in and around the eyes/mouth of the sculpting but then in the process of the casting this would become the weakest part of the mask due to the thinness of the silicone...how does one rectify this problem?

Not sure if 4 years later you're still struggling but I'm also struggling a bit with the eye part however for my lip cupping I made a few silicone masks that just had open droopy mouths... Finally, after I went back and modified my core it fixed that issue. I essentially dremmeled down behind the lip creating negative space for silicone to wrap around the lip and "cup" on the core.

This made me chuckle because it was like, "Well, it is Halloween. Let's resurrect this thread from death, satisfy its last wish and put it to rest." Very fitting.
