OC reptilian alien
This is my OC reptilian alien character, inspired by caiman lizards and pit vipers. the scale shapes and jaw shape are from the caiman lizards, with the mouth and sensory pits of a viper. the scutes/crests are crocodilian.
i blocked out the rough forms first before carving in the major scales. texture on the scales and skin was embossed last.
the paint scheme was inspired by sith characters from star wars. the original sculpt was done in WED clay. the sculpt was molded in hydrocal and cast in latex then painted with acrylics.
