Insectoid Alien Bust
Inspired by praying mantises and beetles, I designed and sculpted this alien bust in ZBrush for my university project.
This species of aliens are highly intelligent and conform to a social hierarchy - their elaborate head appendages indicate their status amongst one another.
For this sculpture, I chose to focus on the micro-details found on insect exoskeletons and created my own alphas to replicate these intricate details on my own design.
