Deep Sea Mermaid
This Deep Sea inspired Mermaid was created from a thought I had while in a production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid The Musical. I thought that mermaids should look more like the creatures of the deep since they live down in the bottom of the ocean. I sculpted and turned all of the pieces into flat molds and ran encapsulated silicone prosthetics. This Is the biggest silicone application I’ve ever done and the biggest makeup I’ve ever executed. The teeth are made from thermal plastic beads and the lure is created from aluminum foil wrapped in electrical tape to make it lightweight. The light on the end of the lure is a single LED light which can turn on and off but twisting.
