How to patch a 10 year old mask.

I have an old silicone mask, made by a company that no longer exists and I am unsure whether it is platinum or tin based silicone... looking for suggestions on how to repair a large tear in the mask when I'm not sure which type of silicone was used.

Silpoxy from Smooth On is your best bet. We use it to repair platinum and tin silicone. If it cuts through a thin area, you can use powermesh as a patch on the back of the mask. Just coat the mesh in SilPoxy and stick to the back of the cut, arrange the cut parts back together and let it cure for a couple of hours.
Oh yea, make sure it's clean before you glue it. We use NOVOCS from Smooth On, it cleans and opens up the silicone to glue more readily. If you use alcohol, make sure it's completely flashed off as it can inhibit the Silpoxy cure.
