Witch of the Woods
Witch of the Woods is a felted taxidermy and is 3x4'.
The neck of the witch is a deer taxidermy form who's face was removed and re-sculpted to resemble a human. After molding the face sculpt, I ran it in poly foam and attached it to the deer neck form.
I painted and attached acrylic eyes, sculpted and ran lips in epoxy resin, and attached real branch antlers.
I then made her skin from dyed wool and sewed it on, needle felting over seams. The ears were skinned on deer fabric ear forms and needle felted as well.
The back piece was cut and painted with acrylic paint, and the sculpture then attached.
