Giant egg
in Props
Does anyone know how to make a giant bird egg for a movie prop? I don't have any experience with molding so I'm not sure how to do that. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've attached a reference photo below.

One option would be to stack foam and glue it together to create the main form, then carve it down to the desired shape. You could also rotate the piece (like a lathe) as you are working it to maintain symmetry.
After you have the base form you can seal and texture the surface using any material you desire.
