i used a dental alginate that had a menthol smell to it i liked it because it captured a good amount of detail, i mixed it to a runny oatmeal consistency and then i stuck my hand in until it solidified. i mixed up some dragon skin fx pro and used a foundation makeup to tint it to skin tone, if i had flocking for skin breakup i would of used it but i didn't. i poured the silicone in and rotated it slowly around on a tilt to get rid of air tapping the bottom. the issue i had was because i have gorilla hands the bucket was to small so my fingers had to curve causing a more complicated area for air bubbles to form but worst case scenario you can hack it up to look like they've been nibbled on. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyfaUwciPNEnHti2E9-pOHg
keep in mind alginate is a waste mold and begins to shrink you might be able to get a couple castings out but if you want something long lasting use smooth on silk at first and then body double that's been thickened in layers. add your fast drying plaster bandages creating almost like a clam shell around your fingers and hands, to avoid the plaster bonding to one another when creating an overlapping lip use Vaseline. i would recommend that ounce you are ready for a casting to use a variable density self skinning foam (TC-266), its cheaper then silicone and is very soft and lightweight. if painted right it can give you a very good look to it.
