Vintage Halloween tribute bust
This is my vintage Halloween tribute bust, I named it Jacktober. Every step of the process from design, sculpting, molding, casting, painting and hand drawn scenes were all done by me. I sculpted it in oil clay, molded with Ultracal 30 then cast in latex and foam filled with Smooth-on flex foam. The skin tone and eyes were airbrushed with Paasche and Iwata airbrushes using Tim Gores Bloodline from Createx.
The Halloween scenes are a collage of images inspired by vintage postcards with some of my own original designs. They are hand drawn and shaded with India ink pens and hand painted with small brushes and colored India ink. This is part of a series of characters done using the same sculpture which is something I like to do with a lot of my pieces. Enjoy!
