The Mummy's Hand
Hello, I'm submitting my entry for this contest. Inspiration is in part from Jack Pierce's work for the Universal Monsters; secondly, I studied various pictures of actual mummy hands. In short, I used a mannequin's hand, placed a disposable glove over it; then added false nails and stippled on some liquid latex. Colored it, soaked strips of gauze in coffee rounds; once dry, attached the gauze with liquid latex, dried, added more color with Ben Nye powders. The glove should be removable and wearable (I haven't tried this yet).
