Hi all, can anyone tell me which special make-up effects artist was the first to pioneer silicone rubber in film? Thanks

Hi Alice,

I know artists like Dick Smith constantly experimented with new materials, and the use of silicone goes back pretty far in some applications,  but I don't know the first time it was used in a film.  Some quick google searching did not turn up any specific answers.
