Curse of the vintage fly!
The head was molded from a cardboard head, covered with plaster and cold porcelain for the final details. Behind the strainers there's a metallic red carboard dome that gives the eye a solid shape, and red reflecting sunglasses. The hand had a similar process.
Technically it can be considered a vintage version of the fly, with a bow tie 👀.
