For which things could I use a lemon zester?

i heard from many people including don lanning that a lemon zester is so great for working in clay. I would use monster clay. But I’m both sure if I should buy one. For which jobs could I use it?

You can use a lemon zester to scrape away and remove surface clay, much like a rasp is used in woodworking.
