Platinum silicone realistic Merman tail...final coats of paint
in General
In the final stages of creating a platinum silicone swimmable merman tail and just thought it would be cool to get everyones proffessional opinions..its been a long road of trial and error for me and a complete learning experience..everything from spray paint air brushing to mold making and casting and everything in between...does anyone know if I can use acrylic paints to tint my silicone?

While silicone and acrylic don't typically get along, you can use thin airbrushed layers of acrylic if you sandwich them between layers of airbrushed silicone. This technique is covered in Tim Gore's painting lesson here: https://www.stanwinstonschool.com/tutorials/hyper-realistic-silicone-painting-techniques which I learned a great deal from.
