what types of paints are used for the painting of the silicone prosthetics ?

I would like to do know this because I am having trouble doing miniatures and I would like to do better than I have had it the past this will be used for plastic,metal and resin figures .

For painting silicone you can mix oil paints into a thinned silicone base, or mix up silicone pigments like Silc Pig from Smooth-On.
Another method that I've yet to try, and learned from Tim Gore who has some great painting lessons here, is to airbrush on thin layers of acrylic paints (like his fantastic Bloodline paints) and then spray thinned silicone over that. So you are basically sandwiching thin layers of acrylic in silicone.
But for plastic, metal, and other rigid materials like stone or resin you would want to use a different methodology. Painting on silicone focuses on 2 things, maintaining translucency in your pigments as not to occlude the inherent translucency of the silicone, and maintaining flexibility. (as rigid paints can crack and chip on silicone in addition to not adhering well)
For painting miniatures you have a lot of options available to you. Acrylic paints, acrylic inks, enamel paints like Testors, etc. These can all be applied in washes, via airbrush, hand brushing, etc.
