Rizo- Rod Puppet
Rizo is an anthropomorphic rodent character I designed and made for a recent college project. I was inspired to make a rod puppet after watching the tutorial given by Dave Monzingo.
The character was sculpted in chavant NSP medium plasteline, moulded in fiberglass and cast in EcoFlex20 silicone rubber. The armature is a segmented polyurethane resin core jointed with threaded bars and steel springs.
This puppet's intended use is as a gross-movement scale representation of the character for a close to mid-distance shot. I have attached below the Youtube link to a short video clip of my test movement footage. I appreciate it if you've had a flick through 😊. Cheers- Rory
