Alien Art Contest entry: GORT
Genetically Organized Robotic Technology
I decided to make a version of the iron giant GORT, from the classic The Day the Earth Stood Still from 1951, adapting the classic humanoid design to something modern.
Sculpted in clay and painted with acrylic paints, imitating the fluid metal, characteristic of the 2008 version.
In scale, GORT would be really tall compared to its predecessors.
Lots of clay this time.
