UNLEASH THE KRAKEN
Here is my Monster creation for the 2017 PDX Adult Soap Box Derby featuring an original take on the mythical Kraken as it takes a bite out of the Nautilus submarine from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Made with cardboard, 150 sticks of hot glue, chicken wire, pvc, upholstery foam, cotton batting and Creature Cast Rubber liquid Neoprene. The eyes are 2 layers of vacuformed PETG and the fins are bamboo, handmade Japanese paper, hotglue and liquid Neoprene. Over 15 feet long, with 11 water canons, spinning propellers and an air horn! It wasn't the fastest car in the race, but it was a crowd pleaser! Enjoy - Mark Schneider
