Dr Jakyll & Mr Hyde
My interpretation of Dr Jakyll and Mr Hyde:
Dr Jakyll: Victorian male character, including sideburns handmade by me.
Mr Hyde: my design for the character is based on a vampire bat. It is a single face appliance, made using a flat plate sculpt and silicone. It is painted with Skin Illustrator alcohol paints and eyeshadow.
The costume was also sourced by me.
At the beginning of the post, I have included images from the trial run of the prosthetic appliance where I used greasepaints to give it a different look.
This was only my second time ever using silicone and my third time creating prosthetics (the other time I used gelatine). I am a 23-year-old student currently studying Character Makeup Design for Stage and Screen, in IADT, Dublin, Ireland. It would mean the world to me if I could win. It is my dream to be a great prosthetics makeup artist.
