Original Small soldier puppet, what push pull cables were used?

Hi iv got an original Puppet from the Movie Small Soldiers, can anyone help me or point me in the right direction to what push pull cables they used on the puppets, some of my cables have been cut and I'm wanting to replace them, they are very thin black push pull cables, I'm struggling to find where to buy some, any help at all much appreciated, thanks
