Also started on some of the costuming. I made a Pair of Goggles using leather and L200 and old 8mm camera parts. They look big and heavy but they are very light because it is mostly PVC that makes up the main structure. I also am builting a battle belt and chest/back armour out of L200 and leather. A Nerf gun that I hacked will also be made. Working to make certain everything has that same universe feel and need to finish all the pieces and weather them to be presented at deadline.
Pam,
Looks great! Gnomes have always been one of my favorite fantasy characters. Can't wait to see him finished!
The hands are tough but you did it exactly the way we do it. Pop the ends of the fingers on inside out and work them down. We'll be talking about facial hair patterning tomorrow to help out with the beard
Tom,
The props look great! Weight is so important in building props for puppets and it seems you're already on top of it. We'll be talking about costume and prop weight tomorrow in our final class.
So I decided last night to scrap the bright fur and make the character in white so I can airbrush it. Here is the character in rough form. I will be attaching and sewing everything down tomorrow
