Suit is still sticky

Hello!

I've made a suit out of latex and foam latex. I've painted it following the directions in the Make a Monster Suit videos (painting with mix of oil, rubber cement, and paint thinner, then sealing with light coat of rubber cement). After letting everything sit for a few days, everything I've painted is still sticky (especially the foam latex hands, which are so sticky it's damaging the paint job). Have I done something wrong? Is there anything I can do to stop it?

I'm not sure what might be causing the stickiness, but one option is to powder it with baby powder to remove the tack.  This will likely change the color slightly.  You could then rinse the pieces off to remove excess powder, and should be left with less tack.

Thanks. I spoke to someone else and they suggested that I might have used too much oil paint in my mixture and it's just taking longer to dry. I applied the baby powder like you suggested and that does help. Thanks!
