Linear actuators/Wireless motors - Help!
Hi!
I made a pair of animatronic wings for my Angel of Death costume a few months back. I'm going to compete with them this summer and sadly the remote for the actuators started to fail from day one. Now it only reacts about 1 in 20 times.
And what's worse is that the company I bought them from cannot send me a new controller due to their new shipping policy.
So my question is: is it possible to build a new remote controller for a pair of actuators?
I've managed to figure out that the controller is radio frequency based. But how can I identify the frequency that the actuators use?
They actuators are DC 12V, 24mm/s and powered by a moped battery.
I have virtually no electrical experience so this is all very new to me.
Any input would be extremely helpful. Thank you.

I am not the animatronic star, but would it be possible to rebuild a remote controller of a 10 bucks rc car? I think the steering is 2- in. 1- out rigged, too, isnt it?

You can do a google search on "2 Channel RF Wireless Relay" and find a lot of options. They are all more-or-less the same.
