3D-Design or Technical Arts, career/education help
in General
Hello!
I am about to decide what I will study for the coming 2-3 years, but I have huge difficulties in doing so.
I have two choices:
A)
Technical Arts & Special Effects at Wimbledon Collage of Arts
A specialized course for special effects.
3D-Design in my hometown

3D-Design in my hometown
Focus on product design and CAD.
My dream is to become a special effects artist. However, I am having a hard time deciding what to do. Option A is expensive, and far away, but from what I have heard, it is a fun, educational end exciting course. However, my girlfriend of five years will most likely break up with me if I move to Britain.
Option B however, costs me virtually nothing. It does not specialize in special effects, but prepares me for a future with 3D-printers. It is also very close, but the course itself seems rather boring. It does however provide more job security if I should fail as an artist.
Any advice for what I should pick?
