Well then, based on our last class, I decided to start over. I remade my underskull that was based off a silicone mask, since no way can I make anything resembling a cool skin. I have not cut out the eyes, mouth yet, but will do so soon. Must say I'm way more interested in spending time doing the animatronic, though. I have learned a few lessons this week. Let me impart. 1. Whenever Craig does something it is way harder than he makes it look. 2. Fiberglass work is no longer welcome in my abode. Wife's new rule. 3. No matter how many times I cut the servo board its still too short. 4. Buy way more than you need. See lesson 3.
Anyway, here is my new underskull and the eye mech.
Brian wrote "1. Whenever Craig does something it is way harder than he makes it look. " LOL, that's because you don't see all the failures and prototypes I had to try before class. I have a graveyard of E frames and bits of brass and stuff that I tried before I arrived at what you see in class. So when class is going, I have made these pieces over and over so many times, it has become like second nature.
This is the ground bar that I was referring to for holding the cables. It is designed for wiring, obviously, but seems me it would work , cheap and easy.
That ground bar would work great. I'll see if I can find something similar for my animatronic project, as I hate making attachments permanent with glue if I can avoid it!

Either use them like they are.. or strip off the plastic for a brass tube with 2 screws. You can also cut the brass tube in two
I'll check and see if we have any photos from the last webcourse. If not, we can always take some the next time we have Craig in the studio.
