Thermoplastic?

Anyone know any good sources for buying thermoplastic for vaccuforming? I am a novice when it comes to this, so I'm not even sure what material to get..We use it to make masks for LARP, so that theyre cheap and fast to make. Probably needs to be 1/16" or 1/8" at the most?  Any help would be appreciated!

  • Polystyrene is a great plastic for vacuum forming, but you can also use ABS or translucent PETG. (among others)

You can purchase sheets of plastic online from any number of retailers, including folks on eBay and Amazon, or find a local plastic distributor to save on shipping.

One good source is TAP Plastics http://www.tapplastics.com/

The type and thickness of the plastic should be based on your application and desired effect.

The deeper the object you are pulling over, the thicker your plastic will need to be to accommodate the stretching.
