I'm a big fan of the Ultimaker printers. I have the Ultimaker 2 Extended+ and have been very happy with it. I've used a number of different models from different manufacturers and by far the Ultimaker has been a better experience with better quality prints. I did a lot of research before settling on the Ultimaker. I was down to that or the Lulzbot Taz 6, but that model was not available yet and I was tired of waiting. And while that's a solid printer, I'm very happy I went with the Ultimaker.
I would also suggest using Simplify 3D as your slicing tool (though it costs around $150) as is arguably the best tool on the market for preparing parts for home printing.
This is all just based on my own experience, so your milage may vary.
This is great information Chris, thanks a lot. I'm going to take a look at those and see what I come up with. Sure to have more questions down the road, but for now, thanks!
