I noticed that guy in Casey's DVD tutorial to, was he (or she) for a paid project or was it personal?

I 'd like to ask you which is the clay used for the Alien, similar from the DVD lesson, is it WED? It is fantastic detailed. I can't wait to see you on talking about the different techniques on detailing, and different types of textures, and how you do it!! Really inspiring.
