Pumpkin Patch Scarecrow

This year I decided to make a scarecrow costume. The Cowl and shirt are sewn out of burlap and has cardboard leaves attached on the cape section. The mantle is made from decorative grasses, cattails and branches from outside. There are also toy lizards and a decorative rat attached throughout the costume. This year was my first attempt at making articulating hands which was a nice learning experience. They are made out of pvc pipe, dowels, aluminum, cardboard and toilet paper. Pull strings and waistbands were used to make them animate. Finally a few cuts here and there to add stuffing.
